Registration and Payment

What is the cost of the training?

The cost of the training is £995 per person (10% discount if signing up 3 or more people).  This fee includes all materials, the ScrumMaster certification (given after successfully completing an online exam with the Scrum Alliance), a 1-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, and lunch and snacks on both days. Travel, lodging, and any other expenses are not included. Please note that pre-payment is required for all bookings, and we can only confirm bookings once pre-payment has been received; we strongly recommend completing the payment as early as possible, since our courses can sell out in advance.

Are there seats still available for a specific course date?

To find out at any time if there are seats still available, just go to www.agileleantraining.com and click on the  link for the course you're interested in.  If the class is sold out, it will say so on the form; otherwise, seats are still available.

What are the payment options for registration?

The payment options available are online payment via credit card or payment via wire transfer / purchase order.  Please note that pre-payment is required for all bookings, and we can only confirm bookings once pre-payment has been received; we strongly recommend completing the payment as early as possible, since our courses can sell out in advance.  To book online, go to www.agileleantraining.com and click on the the class you are interested in.  For payment via wire transfer or purchase order, please register and select this payment option.

Can I pay via wire transfer?

Yes. For wire transfer instructions, please email register and you will be sent an invoice with all the details including the company number and VAT information (for UK based classes).  Please note that pre-payment is required for all bookings, and we can only confirm bookings once pre-payment has been received; we strongly recommend completing the payment as early as possible, since our courses can sell out in advance.  Upon receipt of your payment, we will send you an email confirming your booking.

Can I pay via purchase order?

We can accept company purchase orders from approved clients and will send an invoice with the payment options included.

Can I pay by cash?

We are not able to accept payment via cash.

What is the cancellation policy?

Our cancellation / date change policy is the following: Attendees cancelling or rescheduling 21 or more days before the start of the training course they've signed up for will receive a 100% refund of all fees paid.  Cancellations / date changes less than 21 days before the start of the training will be subject to a 50% penalty, and Cancellations / date changes less than 14 days before the start of the training will be subject to a 100% cancellation penalty.

What if I book for a date, but then have to reschedule?

Our cancellation / date change policy is the following: Attendees cancelling or rescheduling 21 or more days before the start of the training course they've signed up for will receive a 100% refund of all fees paid.  Cancellations / date changes less than 21 days before the start of the training will be subject to a 50% penalty, and Cancellations / date changes less than 14 days before the start of the training will be subject to a 100% cancellation penalty.

Can I get a receipt for my payment?

Yes, you will receive an email receipt, and we can also provide a hard-copy receipt if required.

Can I get a discount for multiple registrations?

We offer an automatic discount of 10% upon registering three or more course participants.

Training

Are there any qualifications required to attend the training?

There is no prerequisite to attend the training, except for a 60-minute reading assignment which must be completed in advance of the course (full details are sent about 2 weeks prior to the course date).

Who should take this training course?

This course is useful for anyone who wants to be successful using Scrum. It's not just for ScrumMasters -- it's also strongly recommended for Product Owners, Product Managers, Project Managers, Functional / Departmental Managers, Development Team Members (including Architects, Designers, Coders, Testers, and others), and Executives in organizations doing Scrum.

Will this training / certificate help my career?

The Certified ScrumMaster course is the industry-standard for preparing you to be successful with Scrum, and over 97% of people who take our Certified ScrumMaster course rate it as "worth the time and money, even without the value of the certificate".

What materials will I receive?

All attendees receive a copy of the course presentation.  All the materials are licensed for use within your team, provided it's not for commercial training or consulting purposes.

Is there an exam required?

As of October 1, 2009, the Scrum Alliance has added an online exam which must be completed after taking the 2-day CSM training course. In other words, you must complete the 2-day CSM training course and also pass the online exam to become a Certified ScrumMaster. For more details, please click here.

Will I get PDU credits from PMI for completing this training?

Yes, you are entitled to receive 16 PDU's for this training, if you are a PMI PMP.

We would recommend checking www.tripadvisor.com, they generally have a good selection of local hotels listed at reasonable prices.
